This is the start of a weekly feature here on Hey, Hey, What's That Sound. I'm shooting for every Saturday, but don't hold me to it. Anyway, as the title implies, it consists of videos and/or songs that I'm not ashamed to enjoy, even though society would say I probably should be. First up is an acoustic set by a little band called Hanson. Seriously, these guys are pretty damn talented, and the melodies are great. Listen to the those crazy falsetto backing vocals from Zac on the second song, "The River." Also recommended are "Penny & Me" and "The Walk".

Can we take a quick timeout with the writers' strike?
The Recording Academy has circulated a petition calling for the Writers Guild of America to accept an agreement that would give writers a waiver to work on the upcoming Grammy awards. Apparently, this strike thing is only allowable if it doesn't directly harm something a certain party wants. We're worried though that with the recent rash of single studio agreements and now this suggested waiver, that something big is about to go down, and it may not be a good thing.
